Cosmic Wheels.
‘Happiness runs in a circular motion.’ Or at least, that’s what Donovan said. But a great many other people also have some sort of belief in the principles of karma; ‘What goes around comes around’ and all that. And why not? After all, if this is a fundamental law of the universe, then it would make a great deal of sense. There are certainly two different types of emotional energy to consider; the positive and the negative. And whichever one of these we choose to send out must have some sort of lasting effect…
Of course, it may not seem as though the karma idea is working at all sometimes. And many of us will ask the question; ‘Why do bad things happen to good people anyway?' Well I can’t answer this any better than anyone else. Perhaps life events are simply there for us to learn from. This may sound a bit pat, but why not? Think about it; whenever we manage to get through a particularly tough time in our life it will normally result in us being a stronger person won’t it?
I don’t think that every decision we make will go on to echo through the rest of our days, but I’m sure the really important stuff has some kind of lasting positive/negative effect. In other words, it doesn’t really matter if we fill our cars with biodiesel or red diesel … but where we drive to is of the utmost importance!
Of course, we all have to make decisions every day and sometimes we will get things totally wrong. However, I’m sure that if we all do our best to get everything right, then it will have some sort of positive effect on things. And even if karma only makes the very slightest difference, it is certainly better than no difference at all!
