A Happier Britain

A Happier Britain

The government in the United Kingdom has officially offered the initiation of its ’happiness meter'where people around Britain would be questioned how they define their lives and are they satisfied with what they have and what they have achieved. The research would target all people from the community and its aim is to display accurate results as to the attitudes in the British society.

Perhaps Britain, despite recession and economic and political problems, would be a bit happier. The happiest woman in the Kingdom, Christine Truman, has been judged according to a scale that would be used for people in the upcoming days while the research is taking place. She was then rated the happiest woman in the UK after answering all questions in a BBC studio. And while many of us are more concerned about some new HR software, the measurement of happiness in the country might prove to be an extremely interesting initiative - simply because it would prove the social aspect of the British society.

In countries like Finland and Sweden such initiatives are something usual and happens quite often. These peoples are also the happiest residents on our planet where almost 60% of them classify themselves as happy people who have achieved what they were striving for in their lives. Norway is also one of the happiest countries where people also enjoy some of the highest incomes on the planet. In Britain, however, the picture might be slightly different. Nevertheless, we all hope for a happier British society.
